I was born smack dab right in the middle of Long Island, to a very close family. I was named after my mother's brother. I look like my mother, thank God. I have two older sisters. One is a doctor and the other is a teacher.
Growing up, my family did everything together. We were like the freakin' Waltons, until one day tragedy struck my family: my mother died in a car crash. I thought that my life was over.
My father left when I was sixteen, but myy sisters were there for me until they left for college. I arranged a way to work full time, go to high school, and play lacrosse, which was a very hard thing to do at sixteen but it made me a very strong person. I ended up getting a lacrosse scholarship to Limestone State.
I thought that the scholarship was my ticket to success — until I broke my leg and it was taken from me. Since then, I have been going back and forth to different schools at night for the past five years, which I pay for myself. I will be graduating in the spring, with the help of God.
I am one of the most outgoing people you will ever meet. I get along with everybody, love to meet new people and have a thirst for knowledge. I admit I do not have much but I am very proud of my accomplishments and of myself. I know my mom is, too. All of that hard work will pay off.
