EPISODE 7: SOAP STARS AND SPIDER SENSE
Four men remain, three with hopes of winning a $100,000 modeling contract with IMG...and one, our embedded model, who hopes to push them to prove they really deserve it.
Their first assignment: flex their creative muscles by conceiving, shooting and starring in their own soap commercial. Rob plays a down-and-dirty zookeeper, Maurice a personal trainer, and Jon a boxer. Kevin pokes fun at a former competitor by playing a Chippendale's dancer named "Hunter." The guys are a little annoyed when Rob elects to reshoot his spot after everyone else is done.
While the models jet-ski, Bruce and Marisa judge the soap commercials. In the judges' eyes, everyone is a winner, and their prize is a sit-down dinner with the judges followed by a night on the town. The meal itself serves as an unstated challenge. Can they look and act professional in an informal setting?
After a wild night in Old San Juan, the guys head to the rainforest to get up close and personal with some wildlife. They pose with a cockatoo, a tree frog, a millipede and a tarantula, which doesn't sit well with spider-fearing Maurice.
The judging marks an end to our stay in Puerto Rico. While Jon, Kevin and Rob head to New York, Maurice — undone by his limited range — heads home. There's one episode, one elimination and one very big secret left to reveal...
