EPISODE 6: WALKIN' THE WALK
After a relaxing night in Puerto Rico, our five remaining men take to the beach to shoot photos for individual swimsuit calendars. The public will determine the winner of this challenge: tomorrow, the guys will pick their runway wardrobes based upon how well their calendars sell.
With the help of closed-circuit cameras, they watch as locals and tourists make their selections. Rob lands the first sale but doesn't hold that lead for long. In the end, Jon's calendars run out first, followed by Kevin, Hunter and Maurice; poor Rob, several of his calendars are left unsold.
The guys discover that their runway is a clear surface extending across the surface of the pool. Not only will they have to look poised and confident, they'll have to watch their step or they'll be all wet!
As the guys select their garb, 2nd place Kevin makes a bold choice and opts for the only Speedo, earning equal measures of respect and relief from his fellow models.
With Carmen, Bruce and Marisa at the end of the runway, the guys needed no encouragement to play to the crowd. Memorably, Kevin back flipped into the water — a move Bruce dubbed "classic." Although the crowd loved some of the wilder antics, the judges have the final say. Bruce deems Rob's awkward moves "the worst he's ever seen." But Rob is spared elimination by Hunter's performance, which the judges feel crossed the line from "fashion show" to "strip show."
