EPISODE 4: MODEL, SELL THYSELF
The ten remaining models think they're headed to an interview with a group of ad execs, when in fact it's all a put-on. The panel consists of improv actors out to make life difficult for our aspiring spokesmen. Though the execs are counterfeit, the competition is real: how they do today will dictate the order in which the models will choose their products for an advertising shoot tomorrow.
Back at the apartment, the guys select their products. Winner Matt jumps at the Astin Martin, a hasty choice he will later come to regret. Maurice, Jason, Paulo, Hunter and (embedded model) Kevin P. are happy to pose with an iPod, cowboy boots, a motorcycle, jeans and sunglasses, respectively. In a bold move, Rob selects "designer" toilet paper. Mostly hairless Jon goes for Nair, Kevin O. reluctantly settles for bicycle shorts, and Tate is left with ordinary pretzel rods.
Having come this far, no one wants to be sent home, so everyone is looking for an edge. Some resort to diuretics, and everyone spend long hours at the gym.
After the shoot, Rob is surprised to learn that many of his fellow competitors didn't know he was gay. Hunter, from a small town in the South, is shocked and moved by how comfortable Rob is with his own sexuality
It's Elimination Day. Bruce and fellow judges photographer Kimberly Metz and photo editor Courtney Kendall decide that Jason, Matt, Paulo and Kevin O. have taken their last shot. And then there were six...
